About Amber
I structure my teaching around a diagnostic assessment before setting the practice plan to ensure we move at the right speed. I confess that I find the most joy in correcting posture when it finally clicks for a student.
My lessons integrate orchestral playing techniques with music theory and bowing fundamentals like spiccato and staccato. As an alum of the Schulich School of Music, I emphasize the importance of rhythm and ear training in your daily practice. We will navigate double stops and classical repertoire with the patience of a seasoned mentor. Let us refine your sound together with the warmth and precision that define my approach to the violin.

My 8 years of experience have taught me that music is a language of constant refinement. I sometimes struggle to explain how much I value the raw potential of a beginner. Trained at the Conservatoire de Montréal, I bring a formal Master of Music perspective to every session.
My background as a Montreal native allows me to bridge the gap between technical conservatory methods and the needs of working professionals. I have guided 220 students toward their personal goals. It is a joy to see a self taught player finally find their footing. Whether you are picking up the bow for the first time or seeking structure, I remain dedicated to the pursuit of musical excellence.
