"Spending 9 years of experience with 145 students has taught me that the most rigid approach rarely produces the best results. Most people assume that learning electric technique requires years of suffering through boring scales. I find that building a relationship with the instrument through ear training and fingerpicking creates a much stronger foundation for any player.
My work with advanced learners, teens, and returning students allows me to adapt my methods to whoever sits across from me. Having earned a BM Popular Music from UdeM, I balance academic theory with the practical needs of performance-focused musicians. We might look at tuning and maintenance one day and dive into complex grade exam prep the next.
I genuinely enjoy watching students discover the nuance in their own playing style. It has been a pleasure to support so many performers over the past decade as they develop their unique voices."
