About Tiegan
My passion for teaching began during my time at university, when I started helping my younger cousin with her GCSEs. Seeing her confidence grow as she began to understand topics that once felt difficult was incredibly rewarding, and it made me realise how much I enjoy supporting others in their learning.
I have a BHonours degree in Psychology and Criminology and a Master’s degree in Health Psychology. Through my studies I developed strong research, analytical, and communication skills, and I enjoy breaking down complex ideas into explanations that are clear and easy to understand.
I know that learning can sometimes feel overwhelming, especially when a student loses confidence in a subject. Because of this, I focus on creating a relaxed and supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes as part of the learning process. Everyone learns differently, so I always try to adapt my approach to suit each student’s needs and pace.
For me, tutoring is not just about improving grades. It’s about helping students build confidence, develop their understanding, and realise that they are capable of achieving more than they might think. I genuinely enjoy seeing students grow in both knowledge and self-belief.

- I have worked 1-1 with SEND students.
- My teaching style is relaxed, creative and attentive - I like to follow the student's way of learning.
- My lessons are usually 1 hour and focus primarily upon what the student wants to focus on this week.
