About Tess
I studied Irish as part of my undergraduate in the University of Limerick. I then went on and I completed a Masters Degree in Irish in University of Limerick the following year.
I was a supervisor in an all-Irish afterschool club and I am currently working as a clerical officer in the Gaeltacht.
I have lots of experience working with children and students/young adults, and working in the civil service where the age dynamic is more varied has allowed me to develop my social skills and I get on well with people who are older than me too. In my current job we work and converse through Irish. I now have experience speaking Connemara Irish aswell as Munster Irish- this variety of dialects is very helpful, to all learners of the Irish language.

I base my teaching methods around your specific needs.
I am happy to cover content ranging from Grammar to literature to poetry to general/conversational Irish for oral prep.
We can go at your pace and take things one step at a time.
A typical lesson would last around 1 hour, but should you require longer/shorter, that can be arranged.
These lessons would ideally be online.
These lessons would be for all ages, and from beginners to improvers.
I have experience teaching undergraduates as well as Junior Cert students.
We would go through college/school material, and based on you what you feel should be prioritised, that will be our main focus. Only when you feel ready and comfortable, we can move on.
