About Akshay Kumar
I am a Master's student at Dalhousie University studying Computer Science. I aspire to work in the Fintech industry as it perfectly coincides with my previous work experiences. I have worked with many financial institutions in the past to develop trade surveillance, market abuse, and anti-money laundering solutions and helped them detect and possibly prevent credit card frauds, insider trading, money laundering, etc. Working on challenging and interesting problems is my passion. I thrive to make myself much closer to technology and learn something new and unique every day.

I use practical-based teaching techniques which include a theoretical introduction and lots of practical implementations, especially on real-world problems. I try to engage my students as much as possible in order to avoid distraction. Along with programming, I like to discuss the reason and practical implementations of a specific algorithm or programming paradigms or methodology.
