About Daryl
I have a PhD in Biophysics from the University of Guelph where I used Nuclear Magnetic Resonance to research membrane proteins. I have extensive experience as a teaching assistant for the first year general physics and second year mechanics courses. I also have a year of teaching experience as a Grade 8/9 Math and Science teaching in Zambia.

In my classes I like to have lots of opportunity for students to work through problems and ask me questions as they encounter road blocks. I find this to be the most effective way to teach math and physics where practicing a wide variety of problems is critical to understanding the "tricks" needed to arrive at the correct solutions. This is especially true in the digital age where free videos of high quality physics and math lectures can be easily found which convey the basic concepts but often fail to convey the problem solving skills needed to succeed on examinations.
