About Shiang

I'm easygoing but a professional teacher. I started tutoring math since high school. I have taught live stream lessons to public and private schools across the country to actual classes during school (in place of a live teacher) working for Elevate K-12 for over 3 years. I finished 174 in the USA Math Talent Search in high school and finished top 2k in the William Lowell Putnam math competition in college, the most prestigious undergrad math competition. For games: I'm an expert bridge player, finished 2nd place in two national events. In my 2nd year playing my team finished 2nd place in GNT C at Chicago. Came in 2nd at an open national pairs event. Top finish in Hearthstone was 8th place on ladder with multiple top 100 finishes (about half a dozen)

About the lesson

School: I can teach all the core school subjects (math, science, history, English). My expertise is in math and physics. I focus on deep understanding and the ability to think and extrapolate/extend ideas. If you're cramming for a test I'm probably not the best fit.
