About Pratiksha

Hey! I’m a university student at the University of Waterloo pursuing an Honors Math degree. I ended my last term with a 93% average and have a strong foundation in both IB and AP coursework from high school. As an overachiever, I've always pushed myself to master complex topics independently. This self-driven approach has taught me that true learning is more about mastering the right techniques than just memorizing theory. I believe in breaking down challenging concepts into simple, easy-to-recall ideas that stick with you long after the lesson ends. My teaching style is interactive and personalized, focusing on building a deep understanding that empowers students to tackle exams and real-life problems with confidence. Whether it’s math, English, or the sciences, I’m here to help you make learning click. :)

About the lesson

As a math university student with a passion for teaching, I specialize in simplifying complex concepts in math, English, and sciences for middle and high school students. My approach is built on two core principles: clarity and interaction.

I focus on breaking down challenging topics into short, easy-to-recall concepts, ensuring that my students not only understand the material but can confidently recall it in exams and real-life situations. My teaching is highly interactive, creating a back-and-forth flow that encourages active participation rather than passive listening. This two-way communication helps me quickly identify gaps in understanding and adjust my methods accordingly.

What Sets Me Apart?

Efficient Learning: I break down tough concepts into digestible, memorable pieces, making learning faster and more enjoyable.

Engagement Over Monologue: My sessions are highly interactive, promoting active thinking and continuous student engagement.

Personalized Approach: I adapt my style based on each student's strengths, weaknesses, and learning style.

Exam-Ready Focus: My teaching not only covers the syllabus but also prepares students for the pressure and style of real exams.

Who My Lessons Are For:

Middle and high school students struggling with math, English, or sciences.

Learners who prefer interactive, discussion-based sessions over traditional lectures.

Students aiming to build a strong conceptual foundation for future academic success.

I’ve known Pratiksha since we were childhood friends, and I’ve always admired her dedication to helping others learn. What I appreciate most about her teaching is her patience and clarity, especially in maths. She explains concepts step by step and makes sure you truly understand rather than just memorise them. One experience that stands out is when she helped me with maths. I used to struggle, but she took the time to guide me through problems and build my confidence. Because of her support, maths became much easier and less stressful. I highly recommend Pratiksha as a tutor.
