About Jing

My teaching approach focuses on helping students truly understand math concepts and develop strong problem-solving skills rather than memorizing formulas. I begin by identifying each student’s strengths and weaknesses, then explain concepts step-by-step with clear examples and guided practice. A typical lesson includes reviewing previous material, learning a key SAT math concept, practicing problems together, and discussing strategies to avoid common mistakes and improve speed and accuracy. With a strong quantitative background in actuarial science and applied analytics, I am able to explain math in a clear and logical way. I work with middle school and high school students preparing for SAT Math or strengthening their algebra and geometry foundations, and I tailor lessons to each student’s level, goals, and pace.
