My teaching methods involve identifying and assessing students needs and how they learn math - some students lean towards more analytical methods, others towards visual representations of problems. Although it is important to understand both for a comprehensive understanding of mathematics, gearing the teaching method towards the students natural viewpoint allows them to grasp the concepts more easily before relating it to the other method. In either approach , problem solving skills are taught to give the ability to tackle new questions and methods for checking answers to instill confidence.
