About Harmon

I have been some kind of tutor, whether for Chemistry or English or Mathematics or Spanish or Religion for the last 3 years straight. I spent my time before that simply teaching my fellow students as I was learning the material—which I will admit still happens when I tutor college classes that I have not taken. I am a semi-theatrically trained, Spanish-speaking, English and Math Education major. My classes are only as boring as my students ever let them be.

About the lesson

You have two options!

Your first option involves you bringing your homework, and us working on that as I explain concepts and give you additional tools and tasks to help you grow and see connections in the work that you do.

Your second option is to come in with a question about mathematics or a concept that you struggle with. In this case I will do my best to lead you to what I know. The fun of mathematics lies in exploration and my hope is to help inspire some of that exploratory nature into you as we talk about the subject.

Excellent! Harmon was punctual, knowledgeable, and very professional. He was able to answer questions easily and was patient. The technology was problematic on my end and can't hold that against him.

Jordan was a fantastic student! He was on time, had his work done, had already researched and studied for what he thought he needed help on, and was willing to learn more and go further than the allotment of information that he possessed beforehand. He could use more practice working in recognizing and quantifying mathematical relationships, but that is a process we all have to work on over time.
