About Liza
My passion for mathematics began with curiosity about patterns, relationships, and logical structures in everyday life. This led me to complete an M.Sc in Applied Mathematics, where I explored advanced problem-solving, modeling, and analytical thinking. Over 8 years of teaching, I have honed a patient and supportive style that encourages learners to grasp concepts deeply and confidently. I emphasize clarity, structure, and adaptability. I tailor explanations to each student’s learning style—sometimes through visual diagrams, sometimes step-by-step reasoning, and sometimes real-life applications. I foster an environment where questions are welcomed, and mistakes are seen as opportunities for growth, building confidence and resilience. Outside teaching, I enjoy exploring mathematical puzzles, data analysis, and current research in applied mathematics. Bringing these insights into lessons makes learning fresh, relevant, and engaging. Witnessing students grow from hesitation to confident problem-solvers is the most rewarding part of my work.

Mathematics becomes approachable when learners understand the reasoning behind each concept rather than relying on memorization. In my lessons, I guide students through algebra, calculus, geometry, statistics, probability, and problem-solving strategies with calm, structured explanations that gradually build confidence. I focus on helping learners see connections between topics, identify patterns, and approach complex problems systematically. Each lesson emphasizes clarity, step-by-step thinking, and practical examples, making mathematics more intuitive and enjoyable.
Lessons are customized to the student’s level. Beginners receive guidance on foundational topics such as basic arithmetic, simple equations, and introductory geometry. Intermediate learners explore functions, graph interpretation, and multistep problem-solving. Advanced students work on calculus, optimization, proofs, and analytical reasoning. Throughout, I encourage questioning, reasoning, and active engagement so that learners develop independent thinking alongside their mathematical skills.
Maths lessons help students develop logical clarity, patience, and confidence in handling abstract concepts. As learners begin to connect ideas and solve challenging problems independently, they gain motivation and intellectual curiosity. My goal is to ensure each student experiences steady growth and enjoys discovering the elegance of mathematics.
