About Soniya
I am an undergraduate student pursuing a BSc (Hons) Mathematics. I completed my sixth form years at a top grammar school and achieved all 4 A* in my A-levels which included Maths and Further Maths. I am Enhanced DBS checked.
My journey as a maths tutor began at home, helping my younger sister with her maths homework. What started as sibling support quickly grew into a deep love for teaching. As I continued to tutor more students, I realized how rewarding it is to see someone’s face light up when a tricky concept finally clicks. Each student brings a unique perspective to learning, and I love the challenge of finding the right approach to help them succeed.

I hope to share my love for mathematics by making lessons fun and engaging. I strongly believe in the importance of understanding maths concepts, and not just memorising different methods. I use examples to teach each topic to ensure clarity in understanding. I tailor my teaching style to each person, focusing on their needs and if they are preparing for a specific exam.
I have experience teaching students of various ages in one-to-one and small group sessions, and I am committed to creating a welcoming and nurturing environment where every student can achieve their goals and reach their full potential.
