About Nicholas
Having a strong foundation in Mathematics from young, I discovered my interest in teaching while volunteering to train students for Maths competitions. This led to me taking on a GCSE student whilst studying for my own A-levels. Student went from an A and B in mocks for Maths and Additional Maths to an A* and A respectively. Moreover, I started a program of weekly after school drop in sessions for students to come by and get assistance outside of the classroom.
Have personally achieved 12 A*s at GCSEs (including Maths and Further Maths) and 5 A*s in A-levels (including Maths and Further Maths), on top of numerous successes in Math competitions such as the Junior Math Olympiad and UKMT.

Lessons will be 1.5 - 2 hours at a time online and can cover anything, from subject areas that the student is having trouble with, to tackling selected past paper questions. Previously tutored one student for 2 years over the course of their GCSEs, achieving an A* in Mathematics and an A in Additional Mathematics. Also have experience training high achieving students for competitions such as SEAMC and Maths Olympiads. Experience running after school help sessions for students of any ability to drop in and ask questions or simply brush up on weak areas.
