About Asha

I have twelve years of experience teaching Math to learners of all ages and skill levels. My teaching philosophy emphasizes clarity, patience, and adaptability, allowing students to progress at a comfortable pace while building competence and self-confidence. I focus on creating lessons that balance structured guidance with opportunities for independent exploration, encouraging curiosity and analytical thinking. I tailor lessons to each student’s learning style, using visual aids, guided examples, repetition, or discussion-based learning as appropriate. This individualized approach helps learners develop mastery, confidence, and a positive attitude toward mathematics. Outside the classroom, I continually explore new teaching strategies, mathematical methods, and problem-solving approaches. Integrating these insights keeps lessons fresh and relevant. Watching students grow into confident, capable mathematicians is deeply rewarding and motivates my ongoing dedication to teaching.

About the lesson

In my Maths lessons, I combine a variety of topics including algebra, SAT math, geometry, middle school math, and elementary school math to create a rich, well-rounded learning experience. I start by reinforcing foundational concepts such as number sense, fractions, ratios, and basic operations, ensuring that students understand both the procedures and the reasoning behind them. Step-by-step explanations and guided exercises help learners build confidence while developing a strong conceptual base.

As lessons progress, we explore algebraic expressions, multi-step equations, geometry applications, problem-solving strategies, and SAT-focused preparation. I emphasize logical thinking, analytical reasoning, and strategic approaches to tackle complex problems. By connecting multiple areas of mathematics, students learn to see patterns, develop problem-solving strategies, and approach challenges systematically.

Advanced lessons focus on integrating multiple concepts, handling multi-step problems, and refining test-taking skills. Students develop resilience, critical thinking, and the confidence to approach new problems independently. My goal is to create a supportive and structured environment that nurtures understanding, skill development, and enthusiasm for mathematics.
