About Sam
I'm Sam, a recent maths graduate with an enthusiasm for the subject. I took maths and further maths A levels in 2020, achieving A* in both, and graduated with a Distinction from St Catherine's College, Oxford in 2024. As I tutor I am patient and receptive to the needs of the student.

I can tutor GCSE and A level (including further maths). In this case my lessons will use past exam materials to help develop mathematical techniques and mark out topics to work on. I am happy to cover particular concepts and topics in detail according to the student's demands.
I offer tutoring for UK university admission exams (MAT, STEP, TMUA) - I sat the MAT in 2019. I can also offer sessions covering off-curriculum content e.g. for students who are not sufficiently challenged by regular school maths.
I have experience tutoring GCSE, as well as having run sessions in sixth form with younger students who were learning at a more advanced level.
I am happy to tutor online over video call, or in person in the York area. I can offer sessions of any length - feel free to contact me to discuss details!
