I really do consider every aspect of the lesson, for example if we were learning Pythagoras and you weren't confident in rearranging equations then I would begin where is needed. I always move at your pace not where I think you should be.
Typically a 60 minute lesson would have around 50 minutes of learning so that is teaching and examples.
I taught for 5 years in University, Foundation maths. I taught GCSE in a secondary school which involved small groups of students who really struggled with the classroom environment and I've also tutored 1-1.
My lessons are for GCSE Math students so 14-18 year olds from foundation to higher.
