About Rajesh

I am a Senior Technical Leader and Engineer with over 20 years of experience in solving complex problems and leading professional teams. I am passionate about teaching Maths and exploring Maths world. I am a certified Vedic Maths teacher which I use in my classes wherever applicable. My career has taught me that Maths is more than just a school subject—it is a powerful tool for understanding the world. I am deeply familiar with the Australian and Victorian curriculum textbooks, but I go a step further by showing students the "logic" that makes those textbook problems easier to solve.

As a local Melbourne parent and tutor, I pride myself on being patient and encouraging. My goal is to help students build a rock-solid foundation for their school tests while developing the real-world skills they’ll need for a successful future in STEM. Whether the child needs to catch up or wants to get ahead, I provide the structured support they need to succeed.

About the lesson

Making Maths Logical and Simple
I believe that every student can excel at Maths once they understand the "Why" behind the "How." Drawing on my 20 years of Engineering experience, I break down complex school topics into simple, logical steps. We focus on building a deep understanding of concepts first, which naturally removes the "maths anxiety" many students feel and replaces it with genuine confidence.

Boosting Speed with Mental Magic
To move from "knowing" maths to "winning" at maths, speed is essential. I teach my students mental calculation shortcuts and Vedic Maths techniques wherever applicable. These "maths hacks" allow students to solve difficult multiplications and divisions in seconds. This is a game-changer for timed exams like the OC test, Selective Entry, and Scholarships.

Preparing for Success
My "Concept to Competition" approach ensures students are ready for any challenge. By combining regular practice with a "step-up" approach to difficulty, I help students bridge the gap between basic understanding and advanced problem-solving. This method allows them to master the essentials first, before moving on to "challenge questions" that build the high-level logic needed for Selective Entry and Scholarships. Using a high-tech digital whiteboard, I provide clear, interactive lessons and send a PDF of our notes after every session, so the student can focus on learning instead of just copying from a screen.
