About Grainne
I am a student teacher at Strathclyde Uni with two placements under my belt. I love teaching maths and have a friendly and kind manner towards my pupils.
I teach Nat 5 and Higher maths as well as BGE, Nat 3 & 4. Open to tutoring Advanced Higher.
I am based in Glasgow and open to travelling. Also open to online lessons.
I am also a musician and play fiddle and guitar. Experience in teaching music has given me an opportunity to broaden my teaching abilities and I have realised that learning maths is similar to learning music in a lot of ways, namely the method of practise makes perfect!
I am Irish - from Co. Cavan - and my name is pronounced "Gron-ya".
I have been living in Scotland for 11 years - moved over to complete a masters in maths originally but spent a number of years working as a professional musician before settling into a career in teaching maths which I am very excited about.
