About Gayathri

I am a former University Lecturer, MBA graduate, First Class Honors Business Administration graduate, and Gold Medalist with a passion for helping students succeed in Accounting, Business, Finance, Economics, and Commerce. My academic journey has been built on excellence, continuous learning, and a commitment to student success.

I have taught at the university level and served as an Assistant Lecturer at the National Institute of Education (NIE), Sri Lanka, where I contributed to curriculum development, teacher training, and educational resource development. I also served as a Visiting Lecturer in Economics for AAT Sri Lanka.

One of my proudest achievements as an educator is seeing my students succeed. A student from my very first Economics batch at AAT Sri Lanka went on to become a Gold Medalist, reflecting the value of dedication, effective teaching, and a strong commitment to learning.

In addition to my academic experience, I bring practical business expertise gained through leadership and management roles in both Sri Lanka and Canada. My experience includes business operations, sales management, inventory management, customer experience, team leadership, and strategic decision-making.

I believe education should be engaging, practical, and empowering. My goal is to create a supportive learning environment where students build confidence, develop critical thinking skills, and achieve their academic and professional goals.

About the lesson

I am an MBA-qualified educator with university teaching experience in Accounting, Business, Finance, Economics, and Commerce. My academic background is complemented by professional experience in business management and retail leadership, allowing me to connect classroom concepts with real-world applications.

My teaching methodology focuses on simplifying complex concepts through practical examples, case studies, visual explanations, and interactive discussions. I believe students learn best when they understand not only the theory but also how it applies in real business environments. Lessons are tailored to each student's learning style, pace, and academic goals.

A typical lesson begins with assessing the student's current understanding of the topic, followed by a clear explanation of key concepts. We then work through examples, practice questions, case studies, or assignment-related problems to strengthen understanding and build confidence. I also provide exam preparation strategies and study techniques to help students perform at their best.

What sets me apart is my unique combination of experience as a university lecturer, curriculum developer, and business professional. I previously served as an Assistant Lecturer at the National Institute of Education (NIE), Sri Lanka, where I contributed to curriculum development, teacher training, and educational resource creation. In addition, my management experience in the Canadian retail industry enables me to bring practical business insights into every lesson.

My lessons are suitable for high school students, college and university students, adult learners, and professionals seeking additional support. I offer tutoring in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Management, Commerce, Marketing, Organizational Behaviour, Entrepreneurship, Retail Management, and related business subjects.
