About Maha

I am a patient and dedicated Life Sciences student with a strong academic background in math and science and two years of tutoring experience.

Throughout high school, I tutored both students my age and younger students, which taught me how to explain concepts clearly, adapt to different learning styles, and make challenging topics feel more manageable.

As a student myself, I understand how stressful school can feel when concepts are confusing, tests are approaching, or confidence starts to drop. My tutoring style is supportive, organized, and encouraging. I focus on helping students feel comfortable asking questions, learning from mistakes, and building a stronger understanding step by step.

I also worked in a dental clinic and reception setting for a year, where I developed strong communication, organization, responsibility, professionalism, and attention to detail. These skills carry into my tutoring, as I always aim to be prepared, reliable, respectful, and focused on each student’s success.

My goal is not only to help students improve their grades, but also to help them build confidence, strengthen their problem-solving skills, and develop a more positive relationship with math and science.

About the lesson

Every student learns differently, so I personalize my lessons based on each student’s needs, confidence level, learning style, and school material. Before sessions, I can review their homework, class notes, past tests, quizzes, or upcoming topics so that each lesson is focused, organized, and useful.

During lessons, I break concepts down clearly and step by step, using practice questions, real-world examples, and simple explanations to make math feel less overwhelming. I also like to get to know each student’s interests and, when possible, include them in examples or questions to make lessons more engaging and easier to connect with.

To help students feel fully prepared, I use past assessments and course material to identify common question styles, review mistakes, and create targeted practice. I can also provide more challenging questions once students understand the basics, so they are prepared for different types of problems and not caught off guard on tests.

My goal is not only to help students improve their grades, but also to build their confidence, problem-solving skills, and overall understanding of math.
