About Lindsey
I am a graduate from McMaster University, with an Honours Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy. I am looking to tutor High School or University/College Level English, Political Science, History, or Essay Writing. I will be beginning an online continuing education program at Ryerson University for Publishing and Editing, as of this winter 2019. I have a passion for writing and editing, and I love helping others learn to write eloquently and edit their own work to improve their grades. I am skilled at essay writing in particular, and made the Deans' Honour List in my final year at McMaster.

My teaching methodology includes guiding my students in planning an thesis, argument, and research for essays by talking out their ideas with them and what would make their thoughts clearer and their arguments stronger. I focus on explaining what fundamentally differentiates a good argument from a poor one, and how they can improve on their essay writing skills on their own.
I also provide assistance in studying and revising for examinations, by helping to narrow down topics and important subjects and how best to summarize one's own notes, as well as providing help for writing resumes and cover letters.
I am able to tutor in groups or one-on-one sessions, wherever my student(s) feel comfortable, whether that be at the school library, public library, students home, or public space.
I accept emails with questions through all days of the week and weekend and will respond even late in the evening. I will edit and look over essays and provide feedback.
