We would start with a 20 - 30 minute introductory time to establish the learners specific area of study and goals.
Lessons typically take the form of either going through concepts from the ground up, or guided practice sessions where the student will be given, or can supply, questions and problems that we can tackle together.
I love math and physics problems and am generally comfortable tutoring grade school to undergraduate level math and physics.
