About Jake

I'm a Medical Doctor, who has recently completed clinical rotations in the United States and Canada. I also have an MBA in Healthcare Management, a BSc in Human Health Sciences, and a BSc in Genetics. I have previous experience tutoring in mathematics at the high school level.

About the lesson

My teaching method centres around helping students understand high yield concepts while guiding study habits for self-review. A typical class would consist of predetermined questions, supplied by myself or the student, and meticulously breaking down important relevant material. I'm willing to tutor any college/high school/elementary level student.

Perfect! I contacted Jake for help with enriched grade 10 math. He was very knowledgeable and interactive. He was personable and able to establish rapport easily. He was non-judgmental and patient. He asked questions to establish my level of understanding and also challenged me to think about things from a different perspective. I would highly recommend him as a tutor. An excellent experience overall!

We met weekly to review the chapter for that week and he always explained concepts in a clear way that really helped me understand the content. If you are looking to get help with nursing pre-requisites such as anatomy I highly recommend meeting with Jake, it has helped me tremendously.
