About Jameel
Hi! I am a current medical student at Keele University. I have been tutoring for around 2 years as well as in my sixth form and secondary school. I achieved AAB in Biology, German and Chemistry A levels, 11A*s at GCSE, and would love to help you achieve whatever grades you desire! I like to tutor only a small number of students at once so my focus is always on helping my tutees, however as the summer holidays are fast approaching I have more time to take on more pupils.

I put personalisation at the forefront of all my lessons because, having struggled with dyscalculia throughout my academic career, I know everyone learns differently. I coach my pupils on exam technique and key biological concepts whilst still keeping it engaging and interesting. I keep my sessions quite interactive to ensure students understand the content in depth and very much encourage questions. The first session is free so I can understand the student's academic needs and help design the best possible future sessions. What are my main teaching methods? Powerpoints and written demonstrations to work through the content for topics. I also provide all my students with my A Level biology flashcards (anki) that I used to get an A at A Level. Past paper questions are constantly being used in my sessions and techniques for applying knowledge are worked on throughout. Why choose me? I focus on my students and genuinely want to see them succeed. I only take on a couple of students at a time so that they really have my full attention. I also encourage students to email me outside of sessions in the event that they have questions and I always try to answer that day. In addition, I share my Biology flashcards with all A-Level students, which I personally used to get an A at A-Level. I regularly update this deck too so that it stays relevant to current exam board specifications. These flashcards normally sell for £20 online. What are my qualifications? Currently reading Medicine MbChB at Keele University AAB in Biology, German and Chemistry A Levels 11A*s at GCSE including A* in Biology iGCSE How long have I been tutoring for? 1 year privately for family and friends. Where do I teach? I teach online through zoom. What do I look for in a student? Someone who is motivated to achieve their desired grades and who will take advantage of the resources I provide for them.
