Methodology
I like to go through the topics that my students are struggling with systematically, starting with basic examples and working up to more complex problems. I like to give my students some readings and practice problems to complete before each session in order to highlight the specific areas where they are having issues. We then go through these areas in depth, ensuring that students have full understanding of the topics by the end of the session. I'm a strong believer that everyone learns optimally in their own way, and I like to formulate an individualized plan for each of my students that works best for them.
Background
I am a first year medical student with a passion for teaching math and science. I obtained my Bachelors degree at McMaster University in the Honours Life Sciences program, completing a wide range of math and science courses. I finished my high school math and science courses with a 90+ average and graduated with distinction at McMaster University. I want to empower students to perform to the best of their abilities and achieve their academic goals.
