About Malak
Hi there! I am a first-year medical student studying at the University of Keele with a strong background in working with children, academic mentorship, and student support. My passion for education has been shaped through diverse experiences, from leading research and teaching sessions at my old school’s medical society, to guiding university applicants as a Student Ambassador, and supporting children and families during my 18-month volunteer role at a children’s hospital. Through all of these roles, I’ve grown into someone who is completely driven to help students learn effectively and confidently. I focus on creating a positive and supportive learning environment, and I’m committed to helping each student reach their maximum potential.

My teaching style is highly interactive and student-centred. I aim to create a supportive and engaging environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and actively participating. My goal is for each student to leave the session feeling more confident in their understanding and gradually building a stronger grasp of the subject over time. I adapt my teaching methods to fit each student's individual needs and learning style—whether they learn best through discussion, visual aids, or practice problems. The length of a lesson is flexible and can be tailored to the student's preferences and schedule, typically ranging from one to two hours. This flexibility allows us to go at the right pace and ensures that students aren’t overwhelmed, especially when tackling complex topics. I have over three years of tutoring experience and working with children. In addition to this, I’ve spent the past two years working with children in a hospital setting, which has further strengthened my ability to communicate complex ideas in a compassionate and accessible way. As a current medical student, I bring a strong academic background, particularly in sciences and maths, and I also support students preparing for UCAS university applications. My lessons are suitable for a range of ages and levels—from secondary school students needing foundational support, to A-level students looking to deepen their understanding or prepare for exams. I strive to make each session both informative and motivating, helping students not only improve their academic performance but also develop a genuine interest in the subject.
