About Milo
I’ve always enjoyed maths — it’s the subject that clicked with me the most at school. I chose to start tutoring because I know how much difference the right guidance can make. A lot of students struggle not because they’re “bad at maths,” but because things were never explained in a way that suited them. I’ve found that most students just need the right approach and a bit of confidence, and once that clicks, they make progress much faster than they ever expected.

My lessons are fully personalised to each student. In the first session, I identify strengths, areas for improvement, and the specific GCSE topics that need attention. From there, I create a clear plan so the student knows exactly what we’ll be working on each week. Lesson structure typically includes: • Quick warm-up questions to build confidence • Step-by-step explanations of new or difficult topics • Guided practice with exam-style questions • Past paper problems that match the student’s exam board • Short review at the end so the student understands what they’ve improved on I focus heavily on exam technique — how marks are awarded, how to structure answers, and how to avoid common mistakes. I use an online whiteboard and screen sharing to make explanations clear, and I send extra practice materials for students who want to revise between lessons. My goal is to make sure students not only improve their grades, but also feel more confident and less stressed about maths.
