About Alexa
With a lifelong love of performing and an affinity for posing in front of the camera, Alexa Kastellanos has worked hard to propel her career as a professional ballet dancer, and model. Alexa has been able to travel the world with her talent and skills. Discovered at the young age of 11, by the National Ballet School (Toronto) Alexa moved away from home to attend NBS and live in residence for 3 years. Chosen for the lead role as Marie in James Kuldeka's The Nutcracker Alexa performed with The National Ballet of Canada; as one of the youngest dancers at The Hummingbird Center. After 3 successful years dancing with The National Ballet School, Alexa returned back to Winnipeg (her hometown) to attend the Royal Winnipeg Ballet for 4 years. Alexa moved to New York at the age of 18 with a scholarship, to attend The Joffrey Ballet School. During that time Alexa performed lead roles with the Joffrey Ballet, and was one of the few dancers selected to dance with the Gelsey Kirkland Studio Company. While dancing in New York, Alexa also traveled and had the opportunity to perform in Moscow Russia with the Bolshoi Ballet Academy, and The Scoula di Danza Hamlyn in Florence Italy.
With all the knowledge and experience Alexa has working as a professional ballet dancer , Alexa wants to pass down everything she has learned to her students to help propel their dance career.

Former professional ballet dancer with the National Ballet School, The Royal Winnipeg Ballet School, The Joffrey Ballet and Bolshoi Ballet Academy, Alexa is also a Yoga Alliance Certified Yoga Teacher.
Alexa champions aspiring dancers while fostering a confident state of mind that yields rapid improvement. Her classes highlight attention to technique, precision, flexibility, musicality, and artistry.
Offerings include: mentoring through ballet technique class, pointe work, stretching, cross training and audition preperation.
