About Josephine

I’m a final year undergraduate in Spanish and French at the University of Sheffield and will be graduating this year, and an aspiring Modern Languages teacher! I recently spent six months living in Argentina, where I used Spanish every day in both work and social life. My time there, along with my studies, has given me a great understanding of Latin American history and contemporary culture and issues. I’d love to share these insights and help you with your A-Level or GCSE modules to give you an edge in your exams!

About the lesson

I offer personalised Spanish lessons (45-60 minutes) for GCSE and A-Level students, with a focus on meeting your unique learning needs. Whether you’re looking for exam practice, need help with a grammatical concept, or wish to spend the time having a conversation in Spanish about the area of your studies, I can adapt my approach accordingly. As a C1 Spanish speaker who has studied the language at both GCSE and A-Level, I understand the stage you are at in your academic journey and the stresses it may bring. I can also help those studying Spanish at undergraduate level who need extra tuition, as well as adults and young people who are learning Spanish as a hobby or personal project!

I like integrating real-life examples into my lessons to make learning more engaging. Whether it’s analysing lyrics of songs you enjoy to spot grammatical structures to help you remember them, exploring aspects of Spanish and Latin American culture like art, food, or dance, or sharing what it’s like to live in a Spanish-speaking country or study the language at university, I aim to make your studies easier and more enjoyable. My goal is to inspire your passion for all things Spanish-language and help you feel more confident in your learning journey!

I have a relaxed and friendly approach and I will tailor the pace and intensity of the content to what works for you. I also have knowledge and experience of neurodivergence, such as autism and ADHD, and I can adjust my teaching style to ensure an effective and supportive learning experience for all students.
