About Lynn

I am a patient, fun, but highly organised mum with a wealth of resources and a knack for connecting with students of all ages. I have always had a natural affinity with teaching, and studied French, German and Spanish at university. I have been a teaching assistant and I have also recently supported my own children to GCSE and A level Spanish. I have first hand experience of the AQA syllabus, what is required, how to keep students on track and get the best out of them especially if they are stressing about revision. I am highly organised and believe tailoring lessons to each individual is key - whether this is for fun, or a necessary boost to grades for school. Additionally, I have experience of teaching beginners languages to local mums, who wanted holiday Spanish. Whatever your needs, or your children's, get in touch for an initial chat.

About the lesson

I believe the most effective lessons start with a good connection with the student and tapping into how they best learn. I use a range of methods: visual, auditory, games, grammar - so that it makes sense for them and they make progress. Most importantly, I offer good quality resources with clear explanations and patient practice. Fortunately modern technology now allows language learners access to so many additional tools, such as podcasts, TV and apps. I can advise you how to use these alongside more traditional methods, to get the right balance and maximise your enjoyment and learning without becoming overwhelmed. I am also highly flexible and happy to schedule short or longer sessions, whether it's once a week, once a month, or an intensive revision burst. I am available during the day, after school or evenings.
