About Wendy

I have always loved learning French and I gained an A in my French A level before studying French as an option at university.
I have a Postgraduate Certificate in Education for teaching French, German and EFL and I have been a teacher since 1983. For the past five years I have been tutoring students privately on a one-to-one basis and I find that so rewarding as I am able to tailor all my classes to the needs of that particular student and that helps the students to achieve rapid progress in their chosen language.

About the lesson

Before I start teaching you, I do a needs analysis to see where you are in terms of language skills and then I prepare tailor-made lessons for you. Even if you are following a particular book at school, I will of course give you extra handouts and practice too. My aim is to boost your confidence and demonstrate that you have the ability to speak the language when you are abroad and get high marks in whatever exams you intend to take. I am familiar with the AQA and Edexcel exam boards and can provide exam practice in all four skills. I also give my students homework after every lesson to consolidate the work we have done in class.
