About Fernanda

I am an Architect and Urban Planner who graduated from the Federal University of Juiz de Fora (UFJF) and currently I am a master's student at the Postgraduate Program in Architecture and Urbanism at the Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG). I am passionate about architecture and have already taught courses, workshops, and classes for graduation.

I also have experience teaching private software classes (AutoCAD, SketchUp, Photoshop, Lumion, etc.) and follow-up classes during graduation. The teaching methodology is based on an initial interview, in the first class, to understand the student's needs, how the course is formatted, and which subjects need more attention. With that, I develop a schedule/action plan with pre-determined deadlines and classes where the student can view the progress of the content. If it is of interest to the student, I also develop closer monitoring classes, wherein each meeting the student brings the doubts he had in the undergraduate classes and so we exchange ideas together and, if necessary, assemble subsequent classes dedicated to the most difficult topics.

Classes are held online, using video calls, using slides, and lesson files that will always be available for students to access at any time. Also part of my methodology is the creation of an online database for student use. It is a folder dedicated to extra-class materials with films, reference projects, podcasts, texts, and other materials that can be used both inside and outside class time.

About the lesson

I am an Architect and Urban Planner who graduated from the Federal University of Juiz de Fora (UFJF) and a Master in Architecture and Urbanism from the Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG). I have taught Architecture Design classes and have helped more than 50 students in + 5 countries with different goals.

I have almost 10 years of experience with graphical representation programs such as AutoCAD and SketchUp. I have worked for different offices using these and other software like Lumion, V-Ray, Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign. Today, besides classes, I still use these programs for personal projects on a daily basis. Thus, I am always up to date and looking for more practical and objective ways to use the programs.

I am self-taught in Adobe programs and worked with Photoshop before entering college. I am a big fan and enthusiast of Adobe programs because I believe they have extreme versatility and meet different demands.
I have a great experience with academic presentation layout (especially in the area of architecture) as well as identity creation for resumes and portfolios. I have also worked on visual identity, collages, montages, and image editing.
In the first class, I try to understand the student's needs and objectives to establish a schedule and a class plan according to each request.

In any case, I try to introduce the program through its interface while instructing and indicating the best tools to accomplish the desired work.
In many cases, I work with more than one program simultaneously, which creates more confidence in the student to take risks and practice the compatibilities offered by Abode's programs.

The classes are held through Zoom, where you can share your screen and I can request control, and then orient, explain, and point out the main tools. Thus, from the first class, you learn right on your computer!
