About Casandra
I am a Montessori trained Primary Guide. I have degrees in Environmental Studies and Psychology. I have been a teacher for 9 years. I taught ESL for 2 years abroad, and spent 3 years teaching at a Montessori school. I have also have tutored elementary and middle school aged children. With tutoring, I have worked with children to help them better understand and accomplish their homework with confidence.

My teaching method is based on the Montessori philosophy. I encourage independence and work to empower children. Guiding and asking questions to help lead the children to think independently and discover the skills/information they need. Kindness and empathy are important. I believe strongly in each child's abilities and will support them in what they need.
