About Simon
I am a passionate flute tutor who loves helping students of all ages explore music creatively and confidently. My teaching combines mentorship, accountability, and critical thinking to guide students effectively. I focus on tone, phrasing, rhythm, and breath control while encouraging expressive playing. I also teach music theory, sight-reading, and ear training to develop complete musicianship.

I also include music theory, sight-reading, and ear training to develop a complete understanding of music. Creativity is encouraged through improvisation and composing short pieces. I help students reflect on their playing and use mistakes as learning opportunities. My teaching is flexible and adapts to each student’s pace and level.
