About Joshua Orucho
I am Joshua Orucho, B.Ed Science in Maths & Chemistry and MSc Chemistry from University of Szeged, Hungary (Budapest).
I taught for 2 years including Year 11 IB and Pearson Edexcel International GCSE (4MA1 Maths) in Budapest International School. I understand Maths deeply from university level down to Form 1.
I specialize in helping students who struggle - I have moved many students from D to B+ and C to A- by making algebra, trigonometry, calculus and statistics simple and practical. I am very patient and I explain until you truly understand.
Based in Kijabe / Maai Mahiu, I teach online countrywide (Zoom/Google Meet) and face-to-face in Nairobi, Limuru, Maai Mahiu, Naivasha up to 20km.

My lessons are exam-focused and simple:
1. We start with your weakest topic (many students say algebra, trig, calculus)
2. I teach the concept with 2-3 real examples - no memorizing formulas
3. We solve past papers together - KCSE, IGCSE 0580, Pearson 4MA1, IB or A-Level 9709
4. I give you short homework and we review next lesson
For KCSE Form 1-4: We cover all 4 forms, focus on KCSE exam techniques to move from D/C to A.
For IGCSE 0580 / Pearson 4MA1 / IB / A-Level 9709: Focus on understanding, graphing, and solving application problems.
Online lessons: I share screen, use whiteboard, you see everything.
Physical: I come to you or you come to Maai Mahiu.
First lesson: We assess your level and make a plan to your target grade.

Transport: +Ksh 0 is for Maai Mahiu town only. Nairobi/Naivasha/Limuru = +500 KSh travel per lesson.
Group discount: 2 students = 2000 each/hr, 3+ students = 1500 each/hr
Payment: Mpesa after each lesson, or 5h/10h pack paid in advance. No refunds for packs.
Cancellation: Notify 12h before or lesson is charged.
First free lesson is 30-45min assessment to check level and make plan to A grade, not full 1h class.
