I am currently studying towards my undergraduate degree in Social Policy and Sociology and I am very passionate about social change. My interests include travel, cooking and shopping.
I decided to get into tutoring because it is something that I know would have helped me immensely throughout my GCSEs and for me I would have felt more comfortable being tutored by a student.

One thing that really helped me to learn and improve my Spanish was through being able to have one-on-one conversations in Spanish with a Spanish-speaking individual. My sixth-form really encouraged this and thankfully had additional staff to help with these one-on-one sessions. However, I realise that most schools are not able to offer such personalised help and so this is something that I would like to offer in my lessons. I really feel that this helps build confidence in speaking Spanish which is especially helpful for the Speaking exam but also helps with the other basics such as grammar.
I think that when it comes to learning a language it is important to involve practical elements into the learning. Not just listening and writing things down on paper. But actually speaking, more practical applications of grammar through worksheets, online games/quizzes and so on. I found that these methods helped to ingrain it more in my mind than simply writing things down.
Typical length of a lesson would be one hour however I am happy to rearrange as you see fit.
