About Kazimir
Since 2006 arranged and produced well over 400 tunes covering most genres. In 2013 produced and recorded 3 CDs of cover and original songs. You will learn how to make a chord chart and. You will learn construction and dynamics in performance. You will gradually come to understand that less is more...what this means is that by employing the endless devices in arranging the rendition becomes yours and also creates interest in your listener... especially the one listener you count on every time you play and that listener is you. Classically trained for 10 years Toronto Conservatory of Music 2. Accepted into Fine Arts in Music in Performance and Composition at the University of Alberta in Edmonton in 1971…but opted to join a Rock group. 3. Became the Leader of "Geppetto" a six-piece band and one of two top booked concert bands in Alberta...from '71 to '74. Leader is a loose term…mostly I had a driver's license…lol 4. Invited on tours through an agent with Aerosmith and Jethro Tull. 5. I've Arranged and Produced over 400 tunes from '2007 to 2016 songs from most Genres. 6. Released 3 CDs in 2013… “LIVE” one take. 7. Check out 'Flat Nine" on Spotify, iTunes and “Flat Nine Group” on YouTube 9. Have promoted well over 275 events in our live recording studio with seating for 40+. I have a lot of experience through thousands of rehearsals and performances. Arranging using various techniques that create interest in your listeners. Ultimately help you to understand that there are no rules as you develop your musicianship…Know what you WANT and land there when you finish! The following is a suggestion of what you can learn from me: • An understanding of improvisation and chord substitutions. • An understanding of progressions, arrangement and chord structure • A review of songs you would like to learn and how to approach the process. • An understanding of key signatures and how simple it is to write within the diatonic scale. • An appreciation of devices in song construction…i.e. dynamics, phrasing, pauses, back phrasing, lifts etc. open to the imagination during performances. Regarding cost, let’s talk about this exchange…it is a matter of value… in some mentor-like relationships perhaps a shift away from monetizing will be satisfactory…otherwise the standard for piano lessons Online is $35-$40 per hour. I started at 5 years old and upon graduating from high school was accepted to the Fine Arts Faculty at University of Alberta in performance and composition. All the theory helped immensely gaining the ability to play in any ensemble without a musical score. After an initial chat we will build a program that will bring about your desired result given the skill and focus required. Setting reasonable expectations given your skill and commitment is key to growing musically with any instrument including your voice. The amazing thing about playing music is that it has the power to elevate one's thinking in most areas of one's life.
