About Andrew
Hello! My name is Andrew, and I am a passionate performer and educator with a strong background in acting and musical theatre. I hold a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theatre Performance with a minor in Dance, which has given me extensive training in performance, movement, storytelling, and stage technique.
I have spent many years training and performing in the performing arts, developing a deep understanding of character work, vocal expression, physicality, and the art of storytelling. My experience includes performing in theatre productions, collaborating with creative teams, and continually refining my craft through auditions, rehearsals, and professional development. These experiences have given me valuable insight into the skills performers need to succeed both on stage and in the audition room.
As a tutor, I focus on helping students build confidence, technique, and authentic storytelling skills. I believe every performer has a unique voice and perspective, and my goal is to help students discover and strengthen those qualities in a supportive and encouraging environment.
I offer lessons in acting, musical theatre performance, audition preparation, character development, children's theatre and stage presence. Whether a student is just beginning their journey in the performing arts or preparing for an upcoming audition, production, or theatre program, I tailor each lesson to the student’s goals, interests, and experience level.
My teaching style is collaborative, encouraging, and focused on growth. I strive to create a positive learning environment where students feel comfortable exploring their creativity while also developing the discipline and technical skills needed to succeed in the performing arts.
I look forward to working with students who are excited to learn, grow, and bring stories to life through performance.

My approach as a tutor focuses on helping students build confidence, creativity, and strong foundational technique while still making the learning process engaging and enjoyable. Performing arts training should feel supportive and collaborative, so I strive to create a space where students feel comfortable exploring their abilities and growing as performers.
In my lessons, I combine practical technique with real-world performance skills. For acting, this includes character analysis, script work, emotional connection, and stage presence. For musical theatre students, I often incorporate elements such as storytelling through song, audition preparation, movement, and vocal performance. I also emphasize the importance of understanding the material and connecting authentically with the character and the story.
A typical lesson may begin with a short warm-up or technique exercise to prepare the voice, body, and mind for performance. From there, we move into focused work on monologues, scenes, or musical theatre repertoire, depending on the student’s goals. Throughout the lesson, I provide constructive feedback, coaching, and exercises that help students refine their performance and develop stronger stage instincts. We often end lessons with a short reflection or goal-setting moment so students leave with clear steps for improvement.
What sets me apart as a tutor is my focus on both technique and storytelling. In musical theatre and acting, strong technique is important, but the most compelling performances come from performers who truly understand the story they are telling. My training and performance experience allow me to guide students in developing both the technical and emotional aspects of performance.
My lessons are open to students of all experience levels, from beginners who are just discovering their interest in acting and musical theatre to performers who are preparing for auditions, school productions, or theatre programs. I also enjoy working with students who want to build confidence in public speaking, stage presence, and creative expression.
Ultimately, my goal is to help each student grow as a performer while discovering their own unique voice and artistic style.
