About Oliver
Hiya! I’m Olly. I’ve always loved teaching ever since I first became a mentor in Year 9 teaching 8 year old kids. I love to make learning exciting and interesting so my lessons will never be boring!
I’m going to make sure that anything you might be struggling with becomes easy to handle and hopefully you’ll start to develop some confidence in the subjects you may be struggling with now.

Who and What am I aiming to teach:
-All sciences up to and including GCSE level.
-Checking and helping to perfect personal statements.
-Practice interviews for all levels leading up to and including University entrance interviews.
My teaching style:
I have an approach which is personalised, focused, and engaging.
A typical lesson:
I start off with any questions the student may have about the subject. This can also feed into how the rest of the lesson will follow. I then give them a quick overview of what we’II be studying in that lesson, and will double check that I’m not missing anything they’d personally like to focus on. After this I can present the student with relevant practice questions which will develop the students understanding of a topic, stopping to explain any concepts which they may be shaky on. I will then conclude, going over the key points that we learnt throughout the lesson
My experience and qualifications:
In the past I volunteered as a tutor at a school for challenged children. This experience taught me how to keep lessons fun and interactive. My time around kids had not been limited to the academic setting but also during my time as a summer camp coach and a PE coach at a school in Kent.
I have an A* in both a level biology and chemistry, and an A in a level maths. I also received 10 A*s at GCSE.
I currently attend University College London and I am studying Medicine.
