About Joana

Hi there!
My name is Joana and I am an Albanian native speaker.
I am currently studying Medicine, but I have always been passionate about foreign languages.
I have been working as an Albanian language teacher over 5 years and I can proudly say that my students are able to talk to me in Albanian now!

Learning Albanian language is a bit challenging bc of the lack of information online and lack of resources.
But that is no problem with me!
I always prepare extra material based on your needs and goals.
I make sure everything is understood and put to practice.

MY LESSONS FOCUS ON HELPING YOU UNDERSTAND HOW ALBANIAN ACTUALLY WORKS — NOT JUST TO MEMORIZE WORDS, BUT TO FORM CORRECT SENTENCES CONFIDENTLY.

I DIVIDE MY TEACHING INTO CLEAR STAGES:

STAGE 1 – FOUNDATIONS OF GRAMMAR
• The Albanian alphabet and pronunciation rules
• Definite and indefinite forms of nouns (singular and plural)
• Gender and case endings (nominative, accusative, genitive, dative)
• Articles and adjective agreement
• Basic verb conjugations in the present tense

STAGE 2 – EXPANDING STRUCTURES
• All tenses (past, imperfect, future)
• Modal and reflexive verbs
• Object pronouns and how they move in a sentence
• Possessive forms and how they change by gender and number
• Sentence construction for questions and negations

STAGE 3 – PRACTICAL APPLICATION
• Speaking and writing practice using what you’ve learned
• Short dialogues about daily life, travel, family, and culture
• Listening to authentic Albanian speech
• Correction of your sentences to strengthen grammar patterns

STAGE 4 – CUSTOM PACKAGES
• Grammar Deep-Dive: full system of noun and verb transformations
• Speaking + Grammar Combo: learn structure through conversation
• Cultural & Idiomatic Albanian: learn expressions, sayings, and gestures
• Exam or Relocation Focus: for students preparing to move or study in Albania
