About Sarah

I'm Sarah, a qualified and experienced teacher of French (PGCE and Master degree) and native speaker originally from Paris. With a deep love for my country and a passion for sharing its culture, I'm dedicated to teaching individuals of all backgrounds and ages.

I moved to UK 5 years ago to train as a teacher after completing my Master degree in French didactics (FLE). I have since been working in English schools, teaching French to teenagers and primary school children. In France, I used to teach French to immigrants as a volunteer, and I was also a tutor in French language and literature.

Learning French with me is more than just a lesson; it's an enriching experience to master a beautiful language. In addition to language proficiency, I'm passionate about sharing the cultural richness of the French-speaking world.

My teaching style is adaptable, allowing me to be both creative and engaging to make lessons enjoyable while also being proficient in the more serious aspects of language study.

My teaching expertise spans a wide range, from designing fun and exciting lessons for children to providing focused grammar instruction for exam preparation, all the way to tailoring lessons for enthusiastic learners who simply want to get by on vacation and improve their conversational skills. This versatility allows me to cater to a broad range of learning needs and preferences. I employ cutting-edge pedagogical methods, such as the communicative and action-oriented approach, among others.

I prioritise an immersive approach by speaking 100% in the French language, However, I'm also flexible and open to using English as a bridging tool, especially when explaining complex grammatical concepts or language nuances, to ensure a comfortable learning experience.
