About Maria

I am a native Spanish speaker with a strong background in education. I bring over 7 years of teaching experience in U.S. schools, where I worked as a kindergarten teacher, and I’m also a trained veterinarian—so I understand the importance of discipline, responsibility, and clear communication. My approach to tutoring is structured, supportive, and student-centered. I always come prepared with customized lessons tailored to each learner’s goals, whether it’s mastering conversation, grammar, pronunciation, or building confidence from the ground up. I take pride in being punctual, reliable, and professional, and I’m fully committed to helping my students succeed. My experience with children and adults alike means I can adapt to different learning styles and create a safe, encouraging environment where you feel comfortable asking questions and making progress. Whether you’re a beginner or looking to improve fluency, I’m here to guide you every step of the way—with patience, clarity, and a genuine passion for teaching Spanish.

About the lesson

Hola! I’m María, a Spanish tutor from Colombia. As a native Spanish speaker with a passion for teaching, I offer engaging and personalized Spanish lessons for learners of all ages. I’m originally from Colombia, where I trained and worked as a veterinarian, but my true calling has always been education and language. For the past 7 years, I worked as a kindergarten teacher in the United States, helping young learners develop confidence, communication skills, and a love for learning. That experience taught me how to create fun, structured, and effective lessons tailored to each student’s needs—whether they’re just starting out or want to polish their conversational skills. My approach is friendly, patient, and flexible, and I aim to make learning Spanish feel natural and enjoyable. I use real-life examples, visual aids, games, and cultural insights to bring the language to life. I offer: One-on-one or small group lessons Support with grammar, conversation, and pronunciation Lessons for kids, teens, or adults Online or in-person sessions Whether you’re learning Spanish for travel, school, work, or personal growth, I’m here to support your journey every step of the way. Let’s learn at your pace, build confidence, and have fun with the process. I’d love to meet you and help you achieve your language goals—¡Vamos a aprender juntos!
