About David
Hi, my name is David. I am American citizen who was born and raised in Hong Kong, China to American expat parents. I have 2+ years of experience with tutoring people in ESL. We will go at your own pace, according to your particular needs. I can help with Accent Reduction, Pronounciation, American English, English for interviewing, Adjustment of Status and Naturalization interview, for Studying Abroad, and Writing. I will help you get to whatever point you wish to be at with your English language skills.
When I worked in Asia, the company that I was with asked me to tutor three of my Chinese coworkers because their English skills were not strong. I would meet with them individually two to three times a week for at least one hour each time. In these sessions, we would talk informally and I would help them to gain more confidence in their speaking skills. I helped them to improve their conversational English as well as their business English. By the time I left the company, all of them had a much stronger grasp of English and they aced a written grammar and punctuation test that I gave them. I am currently tutoring an individual in ESL who is from Ukraine and the lessons are going very well.
