About Lou-Anna

Bonjour! My name is Lou-Anna, I'm originally from the south east of France, and I've been living in England for the past 8 years. Alongside my teaching I'm also an actor, and I love to paint, sew, be in nature, and of course, learn languages. I find them fascinating, and each language opens up a whole new world of culture, art and communities to discover. My love for languages and accents runs deep, but it wasn't love at first sight. Like a lot of people, I thought the way they are taught in school isn't always the most captivating, and my goal now is to make the process of learning a fun and fulfilling experience, and to get you talking about things that actually interest you, and through that, what you learn will stick, and you will hopefully be more motivated to keep going!

About the lesson

I offer 1 hour long 1-on-1 French lessons for all ages and all levels. Whether you're working towards an exam, or you used to speak French and want to see where you're at, or you're just interested in discovering the language, I adapt my lessons to your needs, and always try to use topics you like or are interested in as a base for our work. I can be here to help with a specific project/homework, provide you with my own revision sheets, work on grammar/conjugation, or simply help you become conversational by offering some topic ideas and guiding you through them. I have extensive experience tutoring students ages 10 to 18, both in French and in English, and I hold occasional online group conversation sessions, for people who want to keep practising.
