About Louis
I’m a PhD student in History and will be in Dublin for several months as a Visiting Researcher at Trinity College. I have taught French history both at university level and as a private tutor with Acadomia, so I can help students understand the language in context. Beyond history, I am passionate about French literature, art, music, and culture in general. Growing up in Paris gave me the chance to experience France’s rich cultural heritage firsthand, and I love sharing this knowledge with my students alongside language learning. Whether you are interested in improving your conversation, exploring French culture, or deepening your understanding of French society, I aim to make lessons enjoyable, engaging, and culturally rich.

My lessons focus first and foremost on real conversation. Speaking is the fastest way to progress, so we will work on fluency, confidence, and pronunciation through dynamic exchanges on topics that matter to you.
As a historian and researcher, I bring a strong cultural dimension to my teaching. Lessons are also an opportunity to explore French society, history, and current events — so that you don’t just learn the language, but also the world that comes with it.
