About Larissa

I have been teaching English, German and Biology consistently for over five years. I hold a BSc in Human Nutrition and an MSc in Biomedical Sciences however, my interests & teaching topics go way beyond that. I was born in a city in West Germany, near the Dutch border. I speak a very clear German without dialect. I spent my childhood between Germany, the Netherlands and the UK and then moved to London at age 19. I know about the challenges but also the joys of learning a second language, and I find it deeply rewarding to be accompanying students on the adverse but magical journey of getting to know a new language and culture. I would love to help you learn and advance on your journey. Your requirements will of course be unique and I am happy to help you with your speaking and writing skills, your accent or simply your vocabulary. I also offer manual translation between German and English at any level.

About the lesson

In our free introductory lesson, we are going to get to know each other and determine what you would like to learn/improve upon. I offer three types of lessons that differ in their structure and outcome: - Speaking lessons (including grammar and vocabulary) - Preparatory lessons for upcoming exams or assessments - Drop-in sessions in which we discuss and correct homework, assignments etc. I am also available for translating texts at any level from German to English and vice versa. I look forward to meeting you!
