About Shooter

Hi, I'm 28yo, native Japanese guy working full-time in London.
I lived in Kyoto for 4 years and in Tokyo for 6 years, so I can speak both Kansai dialect and standard Japanese. I can also speak Kyushu dialect, as that’s where I’m from.

I'm a new to this platform (joined on 9/8/2026)
My preferred location is somewhere close to central London.

About the lesson

I believe every student has their own goals, so in the first lesson I’d like to listen to how you’d like to study Japanese with me.
If you’d prefer to use a textbook, I’ll bring one that matches your level (Genki is a popular choice). However, if you already have any Japanese study materials, please feel free to bring them — it’s usually much more effective.
For beginners, I’d recommend starting with standard formal Japanese and I'll speak to you in that style. However, if you prefer, I can also teach conversational Japanese — it’s completely up to you.

I have experience working as a private tutor teaching Japanese junior high school students.
I graduated from a Japanese university, so I can even teach how to write academic papers in Japanese.

I welcome students of all levels and all ages.
It’s never too late to start learning.
