About Marie
I’m a friendly, patient and easygoing teacher with over 5 years of experience teaching both in English and Japanese. I studied linguistics at university, which helps me explain the language clearly and in a way that makes sense. I’ve also worked as a tour guide in Japan, Australia, and Canada, and I’ve been living abroad for 4 years in total. I love sharing both the Japanese language and culture, and I have lots of hobbies that I’m happy to talk about in class—whether it's food, travel, movies, or daily life.

Having learned languages myself, I truly understand how challenging it can be to learn a new one. That’s why I focus on output—speaking and using the language actively—during our lessons. I especially enjoy teaching beginner and intermediate learners who want to build confidence and enjoy communicating in Japanese.
My goal is to create a fun, relaxed, and supportive environment where you can feel comfortable, stay motivated, and enjoy learning Japanese at your own pace.
