About Minseo

Hi! I’m a native Korean speaker from Korea, currently studying at the University of Sydney. I enjoy learning languages, meeting people from different backgrounds, and sharing Korean language and culture with others.

I have experience working as an English teacher and tutor, where I worked with children of different ages and helped students with English and Mathematics. Through these experiences, I learned how important patience, encouragement, and clear communication are when helping someone learn something new.

Having studied and lived in different environments myself, I also understand that using a new language can sometimes feel challenging, especially when it comes to speaking confidently. That is one of the reasons I wanted to start teaching Korean.

I’m friendly, patient, and easy to talk to, and I hope to help students enjoy learning Korean while becoming more comfortable and confident using the language.

About the lesson

My Korean lessons are designed around your individual goals, interests, and level. Whether you are completely new to Korean or already have some experience, we can adjust the lessons to suit what you would like to improve.

I welcome students who are interested in Korean culture, travellers preparing for a trip to Korea, and anyone who would like to improve their Korean for everyday communication.

Depending on your goals, lessons can focus on conversation, pronunciation, listening, reading, writing, grammar, or useful everyday expressions. If you are mainly interested in speaking, we can also have conversation-based lessons where you can practise natural Korean in a relaxed environment.

Lessons will primarily use the Sejong Korean textbook series, with additional materials provided when needed. Digital versions of the textbooks are available through the official King Sejong Institute resources, and students who prefer a physical copy can purchase their own. I will recommend the appropriate textbook based on your Korean level.

I aim to make lessons comfortable and supportive, so you do not need to worry about making mistakes. Questions are always welcome, and we can go through difficult concepts at your own pace.

Lessons can be conducted in English, Korean, or a combination of both depending on your level and preference.

Cancellation Policy

I understand that plans can sometimes change. To keep scheduling fair for both students and myself, the following cancellation policy applies:

48 hours or more before the lesson: No cancellation fee
24–48 hours before the lesson: 50% of the lesson fee
Less than 24 hours before the lesson or same-day cancellation: 100% of the lesson fee

If you need to reschedule, please let me know as early as possible. Thank you for your understanding!
